Starting on Thursday, September 5, the Duleep Trophy is scheduled to begin the 2024–25 Indian domestic season. India A, B, C, and D will compete in a round-robin style without any knockout matches, replacing the tournament’s zonal system.
India bowler Prasidh Krishna, who is a member of India A, will not play in the opening match of the season when India A plays India B at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, according to recent sources.
Prasidh Krishna recuperation from a quad injury was anticipated, but it has been further postponed because India Shubman Gill, the captain, announced Krishna’s absence from the match, citing his lack of full match fitness as the cause. Due to surgery in February, Krishna had already missed the IPL 2024. However, he was scheduled to return in the Maharaja Trophy T20 after being selected by the Mysore Warriors, the eventual victors, at the 2024 auction in late July.
As of right now, there has been no word regarding Prasidh Krishna replacement in the team.
Following surgery for his quad injury, Krishna has been recovering at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
But even without Krishna, India A still has an incredible bowling force. Kuldeep Yadav, who might lead the team’s spin attack, could be joined by players like Avesh Khan, Khaleel Ahmed, and Akash Deep.

The team will be preparing for Prasidh Krishna’s absence from the starting lineup as their match against India B approaches. Though it’s unclear when the pacer will rejoin the team, Krishna will be eager to play as soon as he’s cleared to do so because he’s now on a mission to rejoin the national squad.
