Numerous celebrities in the cricket world wished their followers a happy 78th Independence Day on social media as India commemorated this momentous occasion. On this momentous day, several celebrities, past and present, were quite active on social media, including Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Wasim Jaffer, and many more.
The nation has come together through countless on-field events over the years, and as the nation celebrated its independence, the athletes showed their patriotism by expressing their sincere wishes.
Taking centre stage, Sachin Tendulkar discussed how every Indian citizen who performs their job with integrity is an important asset to the nation, not only athletes.
Not just athletes represent India in competition. Every Indian who does their duties with integrity and sincerity is an important member of Team India. Therefore, know that the national anthem is playing for you today. I hope you will experience the same emotion as I did when I heard it each time I went on the pitch to represent India’, Tendulkar tweeted.
On the day of independence, Sachin Tendulkar was not the only person using social media. Commentator Harsha Bhogle, Hardik Pandya, and Rinku Singh were all spotted posting.
India is scheduled to take action against Bangladesh shortly.
Speaking of team India, they will face Bangladesh after their recent white-ball series against Sri Lanka. They will then take a holiday. India will play Bangladesh on September 19 after their most recent match took place on August 7.

Sportspersons aren’t the only ones playing for India. Every Indian who does their job with honesty and sincerity is a key player for Team India. So, when the national anthem plays today, know that it’s for you, and I hope you’ll feel the same way I did when I heard it every time…
