Hurricane Beryl delayed the Indian cricket team’s departure from Barbados after their T20 World Cup 2024 win. The team’s jubilant return to India has resumed after the category 4 cyclone halted their route. Barbados has received the Men in Blue flight.
Hurricane Beryl, a Category 4 storm, slammed the island on Sunday evening, shutting down the country and stranding the Indian contingent for two days.
According to Dainik Jagran reporter Abhishek Tripathi, Air India’s Boeing 777 landed in Barbados. The employee remarked he had never seen such a large plane arrive here. The ‘X’ reporter stated that this jet will carry the Indian team to IND.

Prime Minister Mia Mottley of Barbados helped the team leave. She announced that the airport would reopen within six to 12 hours after the hurricane.
The T20 World Cup-winning team, support personnel, BCCI executives, and players’ families will arrive in Delhi on Wednesday at 7:45 pm IST. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will felicitate the team upon their arrival, but the itinerary is still being finalised.
