Matheesha Pathirana, the speed wonder from Sri Lanka, has been seen practicing his batting technique in the nets, showing that he wants to become an all-round player before the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Pathirana made his debut at the 2022 U-19 World Cup and rapidly established himself as a key member of the Chennai Super Kings bowling unit. He was a replacement player in 2022, but in just 20 matches, he has transformed into a strike bowler for CSK, taking 34 wickets.

The Kandy native is presently recuperating from a shoulder ailment that precluded him from participating in the August ODI series against India. After making an outstanding performance in the T20I series against the same opponent, when he grabbed five wickets in two games, this setback happened.
