Shah announced on his official ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) account that BCCI will support the IOA as its athletes strive to bring honour to the country.
It gives me great pleasure to declare that the @BCCI would provide assistance to our amazing athletes who will represent India in the 2024 Paris Olympics. For the campaign, we are giving the IOA INR 8.5 Crores. We send our best wishes to every member of our contingent. Make the Indians proud! Jai Hind, wrote Shah.

A great performance by Indian athletes at the main event is anticipated by Indian supporters following their incredible campaign in the last edition, which took place in Tokyo three years ago. The Indian team achieved an unprecedented feat at the Tokyo Games by winning seven medals, which included the gold medal for javelin throw by Neeraj Chopra. As a result, anticipation for the Olympics in Paris is fairly strong.
