Beginning on August 21, Pakistan will host Bangladesh for a Test series. Shan Masood will serve as the team’s captain. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the 17-member roster for the home series on Wednesday, August 7. For the forthcoming series, Masood’s deputy will be top-order batsman Saud Shakeel. The Asian giants’ two choices for wicketkeeping are Sarfaraz Ahmed and Mohammad Rizwan.
Interestingly, the first Test of the series is slated to take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Beginning on August 30, the second and last match of the tour will take place in Karachi’s National Stadium. The World Test Championship Cycle 2023–25 includes the series.
Speaking of the team, two noteworthy additions to the pace bowling unit for the two Test matches are Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi. It is important to note that the PCB release disclosed that Shakeel’s selection to take Shaheen’s place as the team’s vice captain was a calculated move.
The visitors’ trip to Pakistan is still unclear, despite the hosts having announced their lineup for the series. This is largely due to political upheaval in the home country, which caused Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to flee.

There will be more information available in the coming days, but for the time being, there is still a strict chance that the tour’s locations or dates will need to be changed.
