The Pakistan Cricket Team is back in India for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 after a seven-year absence. The Babar Azam-led team arrived in Hyderabad on September 27 in preparation for the competition, and they have since been treated like royalty in the cricket-obsessed country.
After the Pakistani team arrived in India, top Indian batter Virat Kohli posted a Tweet that quickly went viral on social media. In it, the former India captain welcomed the Pak team and promised to throw thehttps://cricketmood.com/m a party.
The tweet that went viral says, “I heartily welcome Pak Cricket Team on their arrival in my country after a lengthy absence of 7 years. I will hold a party for my friends just for Shadab at my house.

Further research revealed that the Tweet was actually sent from a phony account with the username @amiVkohli rather than Virat Kohli’s official account (@imVkohli). Furthermore, no such Tweet was sent from the official account after looking through Kohli’s Twitter messages from September 27 onward.

Notably, Kohli’s official account with his wife Anushka Sharma and the parody account both use the same profile image. A proud husband and parent, according to its bio, yet directly below that, the owner makes it clear that the account is a parody.
Notably, Kohli and all of the Pakistani cricketers have a close bond since he frequently engages them in lighthearted conversation both on and off the field. As a result, people believed the popular Tweet to be true.
On October 14, India and Pakistan are scheduled to clash.
At Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Friday, October 6, Pak will play their opening World Cup match against the Netherlands. The Babar Azam-led team will try to get off to a fast start against the Dutch after losing both of their warm-up games against New Zealand and Australia, respectively.
The main match of the tournament will take place on October 14 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium between Pakistan and India.
