It will be very challenging to defeat Pakistan in India and the Asian continent:  Shoaib Akhtar

With their outstanding performances, Pakistan‘s seamers have won over everyone at the current Asia Cup 2023. The Babar Azam-led team has so far been able to sweep aside the opposition in all three of their games thanks to their outstanding performance. On the list of best wicket-takers for the competition, Haris Rauf (9 wickets), Naseem Shah (7 wickets), and Shaheen Afridi (7 wickets) are in a tie for first place. The Pakistani pace trio has Shoaib Akhtar, a former fast bowler, quite impressed. Shoaib Akhtar is pleased with Pakistan’s ability to consistently develop good fast bowlers. Shaheen Afridi was mentioned as one of the top fast bowlers currently playing in international cricket.

In a virtual press conference hosted by Star Sports, Akhtar stated that Haris Rauf still has the same mindset on wicket-taking.

Akhtar went on to describe Pakistan as the clear favorite for the 2023 ODI World Cup and Asia Cup, which will start in India on October 5.

“Pakistan will travel to India and arrive there as the favorites. I’ll be completely honest with you. In addition, I believe they are one of the favorites for the Asia Cup. India and Pakistan are the two teams competing in the subcontinent; defeating India in India will be the most difficult task, but defeating Pakistan in India in the subcontinent would be very difficult, he continued.
