The first Test of the two-match series between Team Bangladesh and Pakistan is set to start in Rawalpindi on August 21. The second Test, which was supposed to take place on August 30 in Karachi, has been rescheduled outside of the city. The continuing renovations and rebuilding at Karachi Stadium mean that Rawalpindi will now host the second Test.
One of the three locations for the Champions Trophy 2025 matches is Karachi Stadium, which is currently under development, as previously announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Previously, PCB had offered to reimburse ticket prices to fans who had cancelled their reservations. After hearing from construction workers about the noise pollution created by continuing work, the PCB decided to defer the second Test.
The PCB added in a statement, “In addition, the dust from the construction work could also affect the players’, officials’, broadcasters’, and media’s health and well-being.”
