Babar Azam of Pakistan remains the top-ranked ODI hitter according to the ICC rankings, but Rohit Sharma has risen to the second spot after an outstanding performance for India in the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.
Due to advantageous pitches being exploited by Sri Lankan spinners, the Men in Blue lost the series 0–2. With 157 runs from three innings at an average of 52.33 and a strike rate of 141.44, Rohit managed to hold his own and end as the series’ top run scorer. Shubman Gill, on the other hand, fell to No. 3 after scoring just 57 runs in the three matches. With three wickets in three matches, Virat Kohli had an equally miserable performance in the Island Nation. At number four in the rankings is the former captain of India.
However, after hitting 33.67 to score 101 runs in three games, Pathum Nissanka moved up to No. 8. Avishka Fernando and Kusal Mendis, two of his countrymen, scored 137 and 103 runs, respectively. Mendis made it to a joint No. 39 after jumping five ranks, while Avishka moved up 20 spots to No. 68.
Returning to the top two positions, Babar Azam leads with 824 points, while Rohit Sharma has 765 points. Dunith Wellalage, a bowler, moved up 17 spots to No. 59 among the bowlers after going five for five in the third ODI.
After the opening Test against the West Indies, Bavuma and Maharaj rise in the rankings.
The first Test between South Africa and the West Indies ended in a tight draw earlier this week in Port of Spain, Trinidad. Test captain Temba Bavuma of the Proteas scored 86 runs in the first innings and went up to 16th place among batters in the second inning with 15 runs remaining. Jason Holder and Alick Athanaze improved, but Tony de Zorzi, who started the tournament outside of the top 50, climbed 29 ranks to 85th after scoring 78 and 45.

Having returned four wickets for 76 and 88 with the ball, Keshav Maharaj was the star of the show for South Africa and was named Player-of-the-Match. He jumped seven ranks on the Test bowlers’ chart because to his strong performance, which also propelled him to a joint 21st position.
