At the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction that took place on Friday in Kochi, the wicket-keeper batter Nicholas Pooran from the West Indies was purchased for the price of 16 crore rupees by the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
A fierce bidding war broke out between LSG and Delhi Capitals over the rights to use West Indies wicket-keeper batter (DC). Things came to a conclusion with Lucknow taking possession of Nicholas Pooran submitted his offer with a starting price of 2,000,000 Indian Rupees.
In a short amount of time, the bid for Nicholas Pooran surpassed 4 crore. Both the Delhi Capitals and the Rajasthan Royals were exerting a lot of effort to acquire him.
The winning bid was above 6 million rupees. Because RR and DC were both adamant about opting for Pooran, the bid ended up being higher than 8 crore. LSG participated in the bidding process by submitting a bid for Rs 7.5 crore.
LSG looks like they are going to go for it, and DC seems to be thinking in between. The forthcoming edition of the Indian Premier League was won by Lucknow with a bid of 16 crore rupees for Pooran’s services.
Regarding Pooran, he has participated in 256 matches and 234 innings, scoring a total of 4,942 runs while maintaining an average score of 24.95. He has one hundred and twenty-seven fifties.
On the other hand, DC bid Rs 2 crores for England’s courageous striker Phil Salt, who has a T20 strike rate of 150. Salt has been brought in by DC as a result of this bid. In Twenty20 competition, Salt has a strike rate of 150, has scored 3,817 runs in 167 matches, and has hit 26 fifty.
