In the forthcoming domestic cricket season, veteran hitter Paras Dogra will represent Jammu & Kashmir. For the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament, which will take place in Chennai from August 15 to September 11, he was chosen as the team captain. As for the team, Shivansh Sharma is slated to play wicketkeeper, while Shubham Khajuria has been selected vice captain.
Paras Dogra, who is 39 years old, has demonstrated remarkable consistency in domestic cricket and is among the top players in first-class cricket.
Since making his debut in 2001, Dogra has compiled 9604 runs at an average of 49.76 in 135 first-class matches. He has scored 33 half-centuries and 31 hundreds.
In addition to playing for his own state of Himachal Pradesh from 2001 to 2017, he was a member of the Indian “A” team for their 2013 Test match match against the West Indies “A.” Then, from 2018–19 to 2023–24, he served as Pondicherry’s representative.
Jammu and Kashmir, meanwhile, has been drawn into the Buchi Babu tournament’s Group D, along with teams like Chhattisgarh and Baroda. August 15–18 is the team’s first match against Chhattisgarh; August 21–24 is the team’s second match against Baroda.

To give you an idea of who the other teams are, Railways, Gujarat, TNCA President’s XI, Mumbai, and Haryana are in Group D, and Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Hyderabad are in Group A. For the 12 teams preparing for the forthcoming domestic season, the Buchi Babu competition will prove to be essential.
