The pace tandem of Lockie Ferguson and Saurabh Netravalkar combined for seven wickets to destroy the Seattle Orcs. After being put to bat, the Orcas were dismissed for just 124 runs. With a 30-ball 51, Heinrich Klaasen was the only player to provide the Orcas with any kind of resistance. However, with the others falling like ninepins, the Orcas were unable to achieve a par total.
In the powerplay, Ferguson and Netravalkar each scored an opener to put the Orcas down.
But even though he watched his teammates give up runs after gaining starts, Klaasen managed to hold the innings at one end. At 24, Quinton de Kock’s innings was ended by Ferguson, who then dismissed Imad Wasim and Hammad Azam in the same over. Between all of this, Netravalkar ended the tail end of the innings with a couple of wickets after Marco Jansen, his South Africa teammate, removed Klaasen.
It was supposed to be an easy hunt for Freedom after 124. But after Travis Head was out against Wasim for a duck second ball, things became murky. As Steven Smith, Mukhtar Ahmed, and Rachin Ravindra fell in consecutive overs, they were further pinned back.

Glenn Maxwell dropped for eleven at 53/4, further pushing Freedom back into a precarious position. But the Orcas managed to escape without any more drama thanks to an undefeated 63-run partnership between Lahiru Milantha and Obus Pienaar for the sixth wicket.
