India and Australia are set to take on each other in the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Both sides will face each other in Australia from November 22. It is worth noting that India have won on the last two tours to Australia, and they will be hoping for a hat trick.
But the Australians aren’t going to make it simple for the guests. The supporters will be anticipating a lot of fights. But among the most eagerly awaited matches on the pitch would be the one involving Australia’s bowling attack and top Indian batsman Rishabh Pant.
Veteran Australian spinner Nathan Lyon spoke up ahead of the series, discussing the possibility of playing Pant again. He gave the 26-year-old a tonne of praise and said that there isn’t much room for error when bowling against Pant.
You’re bowling against an electric player like Rishabh Pant
He possesses unmatched skill. As a bowler, you have very little margin for error. Therefore, you must be good. As a bowler, it presents a challenge to see if I will get hit for six. I don’t fear taking a six-figure hit. The difficult part is that I have to provide the batsmen, attempt to hold someone like Rishabh in his crease, and maybe try to get him to defend me more, which should lead to a few opportunities along the way, Nathan Lyon stated to Star Sports.
