Aces Nathan Lyon, an Australian spinner, has chosen the best three batsmen he has faced in his illustrious career so far. He is presently a member of Australia’s Test team for the home series against Pakistan, which the home team is winning 2-0. Starting on Wednesday, January 3, the renowned Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) will host the third and final match between the two teams.
Two Indian luminaries, Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar, were among Lyon’s top three opponents before the third Test, with Proteas icon AB de Villiers rounding off the list. During the first Test match against Pakistan in Perth, Lyon, who finished with 500 Test wickets, also disclosed the challenges he had encountered as a bowler against them.
“That’s a really tough question—who is the best player I have ever played against? I have competed against some of the sport’s greatest players. Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, and AB de Villiers are the three names I’ll give you. In a video, Lyon stated, “The key to getting them out, something that I find difficult to do, would be trying to challenge their defense for a long time.”

After taking 500 Test wickets, Nathan Lyon was “proud.”
Nathan Lyon continued by talking about how happy he is with himself for reaching the 500-wicket mark in his 123rd Test match.
I’m really proud of it, though I don’t think it has really hit home for me yet. It’s evident that a lot of effort has gone into the trip, and while I’ve had more terrible days than good ones, it’s still quite amazing to be back in the center,” he continued.
The 36-year-old continued to show his happiness at being added to the exclusive group of spin superstars, which also includes Shane Warne and Muttiah Muralitharan. “Even now, when I see my name next to those guys, I still pinch myself,” he continued.
