On September 29, the new, cutting-edge National Cricket Academy (NCA) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will open on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The governing body of cricket in India will hold its 93rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) concurrently with this event.
“Yes, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi would probably introduce the new NCA during the board’s AGM in Bengaluru. Before the September 29 date was finally confirmed, a trustworthy source told TOI that September 27 is the most likely date for the BCCI AGM.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to launch the completely redesigned NCA on September 29.
It was anticipated that the current secretary, Jay Shah, who was elected as the chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC), would be replaced by a new secretary during the AGM. On the other hand, it is not included in the meeting’s agenda. Therefore, it seems sense that the BCCI would need to schedule a Special General Meeting (SGM) before Shah formally assumes the role of ICC chairman on December 1 in order to nominate the new secretary.
The associated bodies have received notices about the upcoming AGM, which will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel. There are rumours that Roger Binny, the president of BCCI, will be a major player at the meeting. He might also be chosen to take Shah’s place as the BCCI’s ICC delegate, who is 35 years old.
