When projecting India’s playing XI for the first Test match against Bangladesh, which begins on Thursday, September 19, former Australian spinner Brad Hogg omitted seasoned batsman KL Rahul and in-form all-rounder Axar Patel. Interestingly, the historic MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai will host the first Test match.
The 16-man team for the opening Test of the two-match series against Bangladesh was revealed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday, September 8. While Rishabh Pant rejoined the Test team after nearly 21 months away, Yash Dayal received his first Test call-up. Hogg made some intriguing decisions when selecting the probable Indian playing lineup for their match against the Bangladesh Tigers.

“That team will also do admirably in Australia. In order to prepare for the Australian summer, they must begin warming up.
