Muzumdar will remain the coach for Mumbai.

Rajesh Pawar, a former left-arm spinner, was also named coach of Mumbai’s under-25 squad by the CIC for the next campaign.

The senior team of Mumbai will continue to be coached by Amol Muzumdar in the next campaign.

Mumbai competed in the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy final under Muzumdar, but Madhya Pradesh prevailed.

The Cricket Improvement Committee (CIC) of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), which is made including former India players Jatin Paranjpe (chairman), Nilesh Kulkarni, and Vinod Kambli, met recently to choose coaches for the city’s different teams for the next season.

The CIC believed that Muzumdar, a former Mumbai player, had led a youthful squad to success and that it would be prudent for him to continue developing the young players. “Today, Apex Council members were notified of the CIC decision; we will vote to approve it at our upcoming meeting.

With so many young players on the Mumbai side, who performed really well under Muzumdar, MCA also wanted him to develop the players of the future, according to an MCA official.

Rajesh Pawar, a former left-arm spinner, was also named coach of Mumbai’s under-25 squad by the CIC for the next campaign. Under his leadership, Mumbai won the national under-25 championship the previous year, and CIC thought that there was no need for a replacement.
