Rafael Nadal, the renowned tennis player, has made the decision to terminate his storied career. On Thursday, October 10, Rafael Nadal declared his retirement from competitive tennis, revealing that the Davis Cup final in November will be his final match.
Throughout his career, Rafael Nadal has won 22 Grand Slam titles. His fan base is not limited to tennis, as former India captain and renowned cricket player MS Dhoni has taken center stage to discuss how much of a fan he is of Nadal.
In 2017, Dhoni expressed his admiration for Nadal at a tournament. “For some reason, I’ve always supported team No. 2. It just occurs, not intentionally. You know, I was a big fan of Andre Agassi when he was ranked second. No. 2 was Steffi Graf. Next, Nadal No. 2. Naturally, he went on to become the World No. 1,” News18 cited Dhoni as saying.
However, I believe that he has a never-say-die mentality. Even in the final moments and when he is losing, he will still give it his all, and that is what matters most: persevering until the desired outcome is achieved. Because of this, in my opinion, Nadal always gives it his all, no matter what, Dhoni continued.
It’s important to remember that Rafael Nadal will play for Spain in the Malaga Davis Cup. It is planned for November 19–21, and it will be the last competition of Rafael Nadal’s illustrious career.
