The bowling coach for the Indian team, Morne Morkel, is a former cricket player from South Africa who has fit right in with the team. Not quite a month has passed since Morkel joined the team. However, it appears that the players already get along with him.
Coach Morkel and India’s T20 captain, Suryakumar Yadav, had a light-hearted conversation before the second Twenty20 International against Bangladesh at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The two laughed heartily throughout.
Suryakumar was seen asking Morkel (in Hindi) what had transpired and what he wanted to say in a video that the BCCI released.
Morne Morkel looked at him blankly, as if he had forgotten his Hindi response.
Morkel joked that the person behind the camera should leave the moment out, leaving the two of them stunned by his inability to remember what he had to say. But it was in vain because the Indian team’s net preparations were captured in a montage by the BCCI, which included the scene involving the two.
In addition, head coach Gautam Gambhir was seen in the video encouraging the team during a huddle and frankly catching a sight of one of the stands bearing his name.
