Mohammed Shami, the standout pacer for the Indian team, is a multi-talented individual in addition to giving his all on the field. But Shami’s personal life has frequently been brought up as a barrier to the 33-year-old’s professional success.
Mohammed Shami recently talked candidly about his connection with his daughter Aaira. He disclosed that Aaira is rarely able to speak with his estranged wife, Hasin Jahan.
Shami expressed his opinion that no one can leave their own blood behind and expressed how much he misses his daughter. Additionally, he disclosed that he only communicates with his daughter when his wife approves.
“Who doesn’t long for their family and children? Of course, there are instances in which you cannot control everything. No one can leave their own blood, though, if you ask me if I miss her (my daughter),” Mohammed Shami told News18.
“I do occasionally talk to her. Everything hinges on whether Hasin Jahan agrees to let me speak with her. I haven’t paid her a visit yet. All I want to do is wish her well and much success. It shouldn’t matter what her mother and I are talking about. I see to it that she leads a healthy life,” he continued.
Mohammed Shami is still unsure about returning to the world anytime soon.
Regarding Shami’s on-field responsibilities, the outstanding pacer has not yet appeared for India since the 2023 ODI World Cup ended. Due to an injury, Shami has not been participating for India despite his valiant performances during the event.
He later missed the tour of South Africa earlier in 2024, as well as the home series against Australia and Afghanistan. In addition, he has missed the opening two Test matches of the series against England and is unlikely to play in the remaining matches.
Mohammed Shami is without a doubt one of the most significant players for India in all formats, and his return to the team will increase the likelihood that they will win their upcoming matches.
