In addition, Mohammad Kaif shared his thoughts on Shubman Gill’s debut test performance. In the first Test, Gill amassed 23 runs in two innings. Kaif expressed his opinion that he won’t always get flat wickets in the longest format and that he will try to make adjustments in the next match.
“There is no denying that Shubman Gill is an extremely skilled batsman, but his style of play is suited for flat pitches and white-ball cricket, which is what we see in limited-overs internationals. However, in Test cricket, the ball can bounce and turn, so Gill needs to improve his footwork. I have no doubt that he will make the required corrections and score runs once more, Kaif added.
