The highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan at the 2024 T20 World Cup is scheduled to take place in the USA. Co-hosted by the USA and the West Indies, the T20 World Cup is scheduled to take place from June 4 to June 30.
According to the schedule that was just released, India and Pakistan will square off on June 9 at the brand-new Nassau County International Stadium in Long Island, New York, where a temporary stadium with 34,000 seats will be built.
Regarding the sites that are available in the USA for a cricket match, the Eisenhower Park arrangement with Nassau County officials is reportedly crucial to resolving the ICC’s issues. Not to mention that marquee tents and modular structures will make up the various additional amenities, and the temporary stadium will be constructed using modular steel and aluminum technologies.
Because a modular stadium is constructed of steel and aluminum, completion is facilitated more quickly. According to the ICC, this approach enables an infrastructure installation to be done economically without sacrificing comfort, safety, or aesthetics.
The modular stadium that will hold the India vs. Pakistan event has a capacity of 34,000 and is typically constructed in two to three months.
The USA’s bid to co-host the T20 World Cup would strengthen its position as a leader in the global cricket scene, which has already seen significant growth in popularity since the introduction of Major League Cricket (MLC).
It’s also noteworthy that the modular stadium’s architecture is fully customizable, offering ample adaptability for last-minute adjustments if necessary. The venue is scheduled for completion by May 2024, with work scheduled to start at the end of January 2024.
