The Indian squad is prepared to play Australia in the most recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024–25. The opening Test of the five-game series between the two teams will take place on November 22. The Indian squad will enter the series after being humiliated by New Zealand in their own backyard when the first Test match of the series is played in Perth.
If they want to have a chance against the Australians, India will try to get back on track and make significant progress before the series. Former Australia captain Michael Clarke took the stage to discuss the same topic, stating that if India want to win the series, players like Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant must be playing at their best.
“I won’t say 5-0; I sincerely hope Australia wins this 3-2. All Test matches have a conclusion, so I hope we have good cricket so we can watch someone win and someone lose. I won’t see any draws.” “I would love to see five results, so I also want the weather to be kind and stay away,” Clarke told TAB.
“Rishabh Pant would be right behind Virat Kohli as the top run scorer if India were to win the series. He continued, “I believe Smitty (Steve Smith) is due from Australia’s perspective.”

He is expected to be good, in my opinion: Michael Clarke on Jasprit Bumrah
Clarke also discussed who would be the series’ top wicket-taker, and he was not afraid to give famous Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah a lot of praise. Bumrah would try to lead from the front, according to Clarke, who was captain Rohit Sharma’s deputy.

“I believe that there are expectations placed on Bumrah, India’s top wicket-taker, and that this will push him to his maximum potential. Some people can avoid it, in my opinion, and he will recover.
