India hopes to win the T20I series after defeating Bangladesh 2-0 in the Test series. The sensations of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants, Mayank Yadav and Nitish Kumar Reddy, made their India debuts in the inaugural Twenty20 International against Bangladesh.
T20Is captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and choose to bowl against the visitors, who he knocked out for 127 runs with one ball remaining. Mayank Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Washington Sundar all claimed one wicket apiece as debutants. Varun Chakravarthy claimed three wickets, while Arshdeep Singh claimed three wickets and fourteen runs to win the Man of the Match award.

“Having recovered from my injuries, it’s an incredible opportunity to participate. This time, I was really anxious, but I kept telling myself not to worry. As soon as I found out I would be playing my first match, the previous four months all flashed back to me,” Yadav remarked. “Playing for India is a huge moment for any cricketer.” Being an Indian cricket player is a dream come true. Of course, I’m nervous, but I kind of like being nervous because of the pressure. Nitish Kumar Reddy said, “My family and I are really proud of this moment.”

With just four matches played this season, Yadav captured everyone’s interest. However, in the IPL 2024, Nitish Kumar Reddy, 21, was named Emerging Player of the Season. In Sunrisers Hyderabad’s team, the all-round player was essential.

Seam all-rounder Reddy, on the other hand, has played for the T20I team, but his injuries have always prevented him from playing.
