Several players have demonstrated their skill with some noteworthy performances in the ongoing Maharaja Trophy 2024, Karnataka’s state T20 league. On the other hand, the Bengaluru Blasters side in the league, captained by Mayank Agarwal, an Indian cricket player, has not performed well. Agarwal was caught red-handed for the second time in a row when he entered the Match 16 against the Mangalore Dragons.
The right-hander suffered a similar fate the previous time around when facing the Hubli Tigers. Agarwal came into the game to face the third ball of the innings this time. With a fuller delivery, Abhilash Shetty gave the batsman a good edge and the ball safely fell into the wicket-keeper’s hands. The team has been playing fantastically, despite the veteran’s worrying bat habits. They are in third place in the points table and have won three of their last four games going into the match against the Dragons.
Here’s the video of Mayank Agarwal’s dismissal:

Middle order Blasters lose to Dragons
Agarwal and Naveen MG were the two Blasters hitters that left the game without scoring, out of the top four in the lineup. LR Chethan scored 30 runs to offset Bhuvan Raju’s meagre contribution of two runs. The sixth and seventh batters made more noteworthy contributions. After being run out on 39 off 28, Kranthi Kumar lumbered back, while Suraj Ahuja scored 38 off 25. Blasters made a respectable 144 in 20 overs by sighing and puffing.

Conversely, the Dragons are in dire need of victory. They have played four games under the leadership of Shreyas Gopal, although they have only won one because of rain. They are now in the second-to-last spot in the standings, giving them a chance to defeat one of the top three clubs in the Match 16 matchup.
