Manu Bhaker was recently asked to select one athlete she would like to hang out with for a day. The 22-year-old said, “For a day out, I’m going to mention the names of legendary Indian cricketers, Virat Kohli, and MS Dhoni.”
During the just finished Paris Olympics 2024, Bhaker gave honour to India. The shooting prodigy from India became the first sportsperson in the nation to win two medals at the same Olympics. Her accomplishment in the women’s 10-meter air pistol event was bronze, making her the first Indian woman to earn an Olympic medal in shooting.
In the mixed 10-meter air pistol team event, the gifted shooter and Sarabjot Singh won another bronze medal. In addition to the trio of Tendulkar, Dhoni, and Kohli, Bhaker listed the renowned Jamaican runner Usain Bolt as another athlete she would adore spending a day with.
I might list a couple of my favourites. I’ve read Usain Bolt’s book numerous times and am familiar with his path. He is a Jamaican runner.I’ve also seen a tonne of his interviews. After then, cricket players Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and Sachin Tendulkar were in India. Speaking with any of them for even an hour would be an honour, Bhaker told Cosmopolitan.
