While things appeared to be looking up for Bangladesh after they arrived in Pakistan early thanks to PCB amidst the ongoing political unrest at home, the visitors suffered a setback when Mahmudul Hasan Joy sustained an injury to his right groin that has kept him out of action for at least three weeks.
After performing well during the four-day match against Pakistan Shaheens in Islamabad, the 23-year-old would not get much playing time. He was unable to bat in the game’s second innings because the terrible turn of events transpired during one of the games while he was fielding.
“We have received a mail regarding Mahmudul, stating that he is being rested for three weeks due to an injury to his right groin,” BCB chief physician Debashish Chowdhury said, as reported by.
After not playing a Test since December 2023, wicketkeeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim, who was invited in the Bangladesh A team to try to get used to the conditions, talked about the finger injury he sustained during the four-day match. In advance of the series, he also gave an update on his recovery from it.
