Assistant coach Sriram of the Lucknow Super Giants is optimistic about his team’s prospects of advancing to the IPL 2024 playoffs. The KL Rahul-captained team was third on the points standings on Sunday, but they are now in sixth place following a humiliating loss to the Kolkata Knight Riders. To stay in the running to finish in the top four, they must win their remaining games, but it may not be simple to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad at home.
Following a humiliating loss to KKR, Sriram said that the surfaces have greatly suited the hitters, meaning that the spinners haven’t contributed much to the competition. He did, however, express his satisfaction with Ravi Bishnoi and Krunal Pandya’s development and said Lucknow doesn’t currently need to be concerned about it. He added that every team would have ups and downs over a lengthy campaign, but he thinks LSG has guys with experience who can handle any circumstance.
LSG Coach S Sriram: “Some games you will win big, some games you will lose.”
“I believe that spinners have struggled throughout this tournament generally. The scores have been high and the wickets have been excellent. However, I believe Ravi Bishnoi has bowled pretty effectively in the last two games, considering our spinners. According to India Today, Sriram stated, “Krunal Pandya has been excellent throughout, so I don’t think we really have reasons to worry about it.”
It’s certain that you will lose some games and win some major ones. Additionally, there will be close games. I believe you approach each win and loss in a competition consisting of 14 games in the same manner. Simply absorb the lesson and move on. Everybody is under the same pressure. It’s how each of us handles it on any given day. I believe we have enough seasoned players to handle it,” he continued.
