That's all from this game! Scotland have gone through while UAE bow out. We have another match coming up as Hong Kong face Oman in Dubai at 1930 local (1530 GMT).
Scotland skipper, Kyle Coetzer, says he is over the moon at the moment, they spoke about this, they had one chance and they wanted to take it. Further adds they were at the losing end in Zimbabwe for the 50-over World Cup Qualifiers and they are on the other side this time. Ends by saying they have a lot of fine players and they want to keep improving and keep learning.
UAE skipper, Ahmed Raza, says it is difficult to swallow but congratulates the Scotland side. Further adds he is proud of how the team fared and is very happy they made it till here.
MAN OF THE MATCH, George Munsey, says he wanted to take the attack right from the outset and it worked. Further adds it is exciting times now, it has not gone their way throughout but it is pleasing to get over the line. Ends by saying the credit has to be given to the whole staff, the coaches and all the players.

There is nothing to talk about the hosts though, their bowling was poor giving away easy runs and allowing the Scots to reach a huge score on this wicket. Their batting was worse as they lost wickets in a heap and did not get even close to their target. They will be disappointed with this performance and with this loss, UAE are out of contention for a spot in the ICC T20 World Cup.
The Scots bowling was even better as they bowled out the hosts for a cheap score and gained qualification for the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia. They made good use of their slower balls and made the batsmen dance to their tunes.
Scotland did not give the hosts a chance. It all started with the partnership between Kyle Coetzer and George Munsey stitching a partnership of 87 before Coetzer was holed out. Things went further south when George Munsey fell as Richie Berrington came out and played a blistering innings of 48 off just 18 balls helping them reach a total of 198 runs.
A thumping victory for Scotland sees them qualify for the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia! All smiles in their camp and their few supporters in the stadium are up on their feet applauding the effort.

George Munsey is down for an interview. He starts by saying that he is happy to get another half century. Points that the tournament has been tough for them and adds that he is happy to be able to score runs. On his reverse sweeps, he says that a couple of fielders were inside the 30-yard circle and that made him go for those shots. Adds that they have a big total on the board now and it is up to�the bowlers to defend it out.
Where did it go wrong for the hosts? Probably when George Munsey got out. Because at that stage, the opposition was going at around 8 an over but have ended up at almost 10 an over, thanks to the Berrington onslaught. The bowling was not at its best and was taken to the cleaners.
It all started from the very beginning. Munsey and Coetzer added 87 for the opening wicket and that set the platform. UAE looked like they had things under control but then, Richie Berrington came out and played a wonderful cameo. His 18-ball 48 was the tone which was required and Scotland just took off from there. The last 5 overs yielded 71, so you can imagine what carnage it was.

Further says that the pitch might suit the faster bowlers. If they win this fixture, they will get on the plane to Australia but if they lose, they are out of reckoning. Scotland are coming into this game after finishing fourth in their group.
