St Kitts and Nevis Patriots struggled with the ball, as their bowlers bore the brunt of the relentless assault. Anrich Nortje, however, stood out amidst the onslaught, claiming 2 crucial wickets.
Tristan Stubbs then joined Mikyle Louis, and the duo kept the scoreboard ticking with an aggressive approach. However, the momentum shifted once again when Sunil Narine returned to the attack, claiming the prized wicket of Louis breaking the 70-run stand just after he reached his maiden T20 half-century. Stubbs fell on the very next delivery, triggering a collapse that sent shockwaves through the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots' camp. With wickets falling rapidly and the required run rate climbing steeply, it became only a matter of time before the Patriots' chase unravelled falling short of 44 runs.
Kieron Pollard then turned to his spinners, placing his trust in Sunil Narine and Waqar Salamkheil who effectively curbed the scoring rate.
