Right! That's all from this game. However, we are not done with the BBL 10 action on this Super Sunday. Sydney Sixers are locking horns with Hobart Hurricanes and the match is already underway! Switch tabs and enjoy the action of that game. From here, it is goodbye from our end.
Peter Siddle has been named Player of the Match for his fine bowling performance. He gave just 22 runs in his 4 overs and got 2 wickets.
The Thunder were superb with the ball. It was Milne who set the tone nicely with tight bowling. Doggett did superbly too as he took a couple of wickets, picking up two wickets in the penultimate over. McAndrew and Cutting were taken for a few but the others around them bowled tightly and never allowed the Strikers to run away with big overs. However, their batters faltered in the last 10, throwing their wickets away and lost the plot in the run chase and fell six short.
Earlier in the game, Head opted to bat after winning the toss. Carey and Weatherald provided a decent start to them. Carey failed to get going and departed. After that, a few partnerships in the middle saw them go at a decent click till the 2 Power Surge overs. They could add just 7 in the 2 Power Surge overs and then came the last 2 overs of the innings. They managed just 6 of those 2 overs and eventually were stopped to 159, a score that looked below par on a good batting surface.
The Strikers pulled things back superbly after the 9th over. It was Neser who struck twice in the 10th over of the chase and after that, it was all about their bowlers. Siddle got two while O'Connor did well in his spell. Briggs too was sharp in his 4 overs. Siddle conceded just 7 in the penultimate over of the game and eventually, they managed to scuffle the Thunder in the chase to pocket a much-needed victory.
Chasing the score, the Thunder lost their in-form man Hales in the 3rd over. After that, Usman Khawaja and skipper Callum Ferguson added 56 runs for the 2nd wicket. They were looking right on the cue for the chase but they got out on consecutive deliveries. Things went down south from then for them as they kept losing wickets. 73 for 2 soon became 100 for 6. Ross stayed for 18 balls in the middle but just couldn't get going. He departed for 18, leaving most of the things on Ben Cutting. However, the Thunder managed 15 off the 18th over but the asking rate ended up being too much for them.
A superb comeback from the Strikers to win this game and keep their chances of making it to the playoffs alive. One would've thought that they were a few runs short in the chase but they have done a tremendous job to defend this total. A disappointing finish for the Thunder here though.

FOUR LEG BYES! But it won't matter. They lose this game. A fuller ball on the pads, Cutting cannot get bat on ball as he tries to flick. The ball hits his pad and goes to the fine leg fence. Adelaide Strikers win by 6 runs!

FOUR! That is a stunning shot from Cutting! Full and wide outside off, Cutting reaches out and carves it through the cover-point region for a boundary.

A dot! Couple of more legal deliveries and Strikers will win. Lovely yorker from Agar. Full and angling in. Cutting cannot get under it to hit it. Carey does well to move to his left to collect the ball with a dive.

Full and on middle, Cutting flicks it through mid-wicket. They take two now. 15 needed in 3 balls.

Nicely bowled! Sees Cutting making room, Agar bowls this one wide outside off. Cutting cannot do anything.

SIX! BOOM! Clipped over deep square leg. What a start to the over! A fuller ball on the pads, Cutting clears his front leg and powers it over deep square leg for a biggie.
Who will bowl the final over of the game? It is Wes Agar! Interesting. One over of Neser was still left but Head has gone with Agar.
