Adelaide Strikers were asked to bat first but apart from the 20-runs first over, everything went downhill for them. It was a good pitch to bat but the Stars were too good for them. With such a low score, the bowlers needed wickets in succession to stay in the game but very quickly they knew that it is not their day. Adelaide Strikers will be disappointed overall.
The bowlers though were the architect of the win. Their consistency was well supported by some brilliant fielding to rattle Adelaide Strikers to a below-par score. Nathan Coulter-Nile claimed three wickets while Adam Zampa and Liam Hatcher ended with two each. The batters of Stars had an easy job. The openers didn't let any hiccups as Rogers and Clarke scored the bulk of the runs.
A comfortable win for the Stars. That is a much needed win for them to get off the last spot in the table. Also, they have done the double over Adelaide Strikers this season.
