Right then, that brings us to an end to this New Zealand's tour of Scotland. The Kiwis have dominated the proceedings and it shows the great depth in their side. Scotland, on the other hand, would like to use this experience to get better in future. There is lot of cricketing action to looks forward to though as we have Women's cricket in the Commonwealth games. Indian men's team will be taking on West Indies on 1st of August in the second T20I. Exciting cricket is all around us. Do join us for the same. Till then, goodbye and cheers!
Mitchell Santner, the skipper of New Zealand says that it was a pretty good show from his boys and he is happy with the chase. He says he is happy with the bowling performance as they got 5 wickets pretty quickly. He also says that they had Scotland in their grasp but let them away a bit at the end. He adds that 300 was a par score on this ground and praised Chapman and Mitchell for the way they batted and finished the game.
Richie Berrington, the skipper of Scotland says that there was a lot of good stuff from them today. Adds that in the first innings, they missed out on getting to 350 after the start they got. Credits Cross and Leask for the way they played and with 300 on the board, they were in with a good chance. Tells that, unfortunately, they did not manage to get wickets in the middle and for them, it is back to the basics and they would like to take this experience and build on this in future.
Mark Chapman is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his superb unbeaten century He says that it is nice to be out there in the middle, score runs and win the game for the side. He says he is delighted with the ton and says that he had a chat with Mitchell who said to him to play his natural attacking game. He adds that it was about taking the game deep and then find one or two big over to take the game away. He ends by saying that they were confident at the innings break because the wicket looked good and they backed themselves to chase down the total.
Presentation time...
Earlier in the day, Scotland were in big trouble when they were 5 down for a 100 or so. However, Leask played a blinder and he received good support from the likes of Cross and Watt and that saw them going over 300. Michael Bracewell bowled quite well for the Kiwis, utilizing the spin that was on offer in this wicket but credit should go to the New Zealand batters for chasing this down with such ease in the end.
Scotland were quite impatient with the ball, there was enough in this wicket to cause problems but they just bowled too many boundary balls which did not let them build the pressure. The spinners too bowled well in parts and they’ll be disappointed with how things went in the second innings. Leask bowled well after his brilliant batting performance earlier in the day but they needed a more clinical display with the ball.
The top three provided them with the start they needed but when the third wicket fell, the game was still in the balance. Then though came the match winning stand between Chapman and Mitchell. The former scored a brilliant ton and the latter played as the perfect foil to round off a lovely chase.
A superb win for the Kiwis! A really good chase on a wicket which wasn’t easy to bat on. The key here was sensible batting and that is what New Zealand did.

That's it, Chapman takes the single and New Zealand win this game by seven wickets! This is a slower full delivery on middle. Chapman looks to work it towards the leg side. However, he gets a leading edge that goes over the bowler's head and a single is taken as the mid on fielder cuts it off.

Shorter delivery on off. Mitchell pulls it to deep square leg for a single. Scores are level now!

There it is! First ODI century for Mark Chapman! What a knock this has been, he came into the crease with his team under pressure but never looked like in any trouble. Paced his innings to perfection and truly deserves all the applause from his team-mates and the crowd here. Back of a length, around off. Chapman chops it to backward point and takes a quick single.

Moves onto 99 now! This is full and outside off. Chapman drives it to deep extra-cover for a couple. Just 3 needed now!
