Right then, that is all we have from this one-sided contest. The PSL action continues on 14th February 2022, where Islamabad United will take on Karachi Kings. That game starts at 8 pm IST (2.30 pm GMT). Our coverage will start well in advance. So do join us for that. Cheers!
Shaheen Afridi, the skipper of Lahore Qalandars is the Player of the match. He says that the credit goes to the team for backing him and he tries to give his best. He adds that Roy is a good batter but he tried to execute his skills and there was swing so he tried to exploit it. He mentions that he is enjoying captaincy duties and everyone in the team is putting in an effort.
Sarfaraz Ahmed, the skipper of Quetta Gladiators, says that they lost 4 wickets under 6 overs and then they could not score runs. Mentions that they have good batsmen in the team who have done well before and will do well ahead as well. Says that their bowlers are good but they need to take wickets, which has been an issue for them.
Stay tuned for the presentation.
Fakhar Zaman, the leading run-scorer of the season is down for a chat. He says that he feels very good that he has been playing well, and he is giving his best in every game. Mentions that they are playing the same way as they were in Karachi. But this wicket is suiting their bowlers, and the conditions are perfect. States that Shaheen Afridi has been proving himself, and he has been improving every game. Concludes by saying that they can definitely win the tournament.
A night to forget for Quetta Gladiators, they were outclassed both with the bat and ball and have a lot to ponder about their performance today. The bowers did not have enough runs on the board to defend but their task was made more difficult by their fielders with some really sloppy fielding. Sarfaraz Ahmed will not be happy with this effort and they need to come back stronger in the next game.
141 was never going to be enough against a strong batting line-up of Lahore and especially with the kind of form Fakhar Zaman is in. The leading run-scorer of the tournament went about his business in his usual fashion and notched up another fifty on the way. By the time, he got out the match was almost done and dusted and Kamran Ghulam ended with an unbeaten fifty to see his side through for a comfortable victory. The credit though should be given to their bowling department as they restricted Quetta Gladiators to a below-par score with some high-quality bowling.
A clinical victory for Lahore Qalandars. They were superb with the ball and have followed it up by going about this chase in a very mature fashion. Quetta Gladiators were put on the back foot in the first over of the game by Shaheen Afridi and were never allowed to come back in this game after that.

SIX! A drop catch will seal the win for Lahore Qalandars! A shorter ball, around middle, ball stayed low as well. Mohammad Hafeez pulls it towards deep mid-wicket. The fielder runs behind a tad and goes for the catch, but fails to grab it cleanly and the ball goes past his hands over the boundary for a six! Lahore Qalandars win by 8 wickets!
