Lungi Ngidi was the star without a doubt. He was brilliant with the new ball and outstanding with the old ball too. Obed also impressed with his slower ones and Fortuin also did well towards the back end. Really good stuff from the Royals. They held their nerve and have done the double over the Capitals.
After losing two in the first over itself, they added over 100 in no time. Both scored half tons and they got the run rate done to below 10 per over. However, both fell in quick successions and once that happened, wickets kept falling at regular intervals. The lower middle order and lower order just couldn’t adapt to the pace off the surface and in the end, they have fallen short.
What a game of cricket! Absolutely brilliant, it swung from one side to another throughout but in the end it is the Royals who have come out on top. However at one time, when Rilee and Jacks were batting it seemed like the Capitals would cruise to the target.
