Earlier in the day, the Dutch bowlers set up the victory for their side, restricting the hosts to a paltry score of 80. Brandon Glover was the star with the ball ending up with a 4-fer. There was hardly anything to talk about UAE's batting as almost everyone just threw in their towel.

Only an abysmal performance from the Dutch was going to see them falter chasing a paltry target of 81. Though they lost Max O'Dowd early, they never looked troubled. Ben Cooper along with Colin Ackermann added a 51-run stand. The latter though departed but it was too late as Cooper and Ryan ten Doeschate ensured that there were no more casualties.

Netherlands have not just sealed their place in this tournaments semi-final, but they have also booked their ticket for next year's World Cup in Australia.

Ackerman informs that earlier the team batting first dominated but it has changed a bit as we have reached the qualifiers. Ackerman feels that we will see more sixes. Dirk Nannes informs that this is a new pitch with a little bit more grass coverage. Nannes feels that the Dutch bowlers can hit the deck hard.

Netherlands skipper, Pieter Seelar says that they would have batted first as well. On experienced players, he says that having experienced players is a big plus for them. On the heat, Seelar adds that they are used to it and they should be okay. On the pitch, Pieter adds that this pitch behaves differently than the Abu Dhabi pitch.

United Arab Emirate skipper, Ahmed Raza tells that looking at the weather he does not want to put the team into field first. Adds that it is a pressure game and he prefers to put runs on the board. On the pitch, Raza tells that it is a day game and he doesn't expect much to change. Ahmed tells he is proud of his team for managing to qualify for the play offs.

Hello and a warm welcome to our coverage of the first playoff between Netherlands and the hosts, UAE in the ICC World T20I Qualifiers. The Dutch have been in terrific form in this tournament and are going into this game as favourites. Their batting has done the job for them throughout and will be hoping for another good performance going into this match. UAE, on the other hand, have won their last two matches on the trot and are looking good at the moment.
