That's it from this encounter then! We are not done yet as game 44 is coming up. That is between Melbourne Reengades and Sydney Thunder. That game starts at 1905 local (0805 GMT). We hope to have your company for the game. Until then, cheers.
The two spinners were the stand out for the Stars! They did brilliantly well to not only keep the scoring down but also manage to take wickets. Mair too was brilliant with a three-fer but it has to be the spell from the two slow bowlers who changed the game completely.
Chasing a decent total, Perth got off to a good start! First it was the openers and then it was the Mooney-Graham partnership. They looked well in control till the halfway mark but once Mooney fell, Perth did not manage to form any substantial partnership. They kept losing wickets. Carmichael was fighting a lone battle. She did make her camp believe but in the end, they fell short but by not a lot.
A hard fought win for the Stars! They won the crucial moments in the game and in the end came on top by just!
