Nicholas Pooran, the skipper of Deccan Gladiators, says that he is excited to be in the finals. Adds that it was a difficult day for them playing the Eliminator and then Qualifier 2. Feels that momentum is key in the T10 format and they have the momentum at the right time. Ends by saying that Andre Russell is a big player for a reason and it was important to give him the opportunity to express himself at the top of the order.
Andre Russell is the Player of the Match for his match-winning knock of 63 runs from 32 balls. He says that he was struggling with the bat but it made a big difference when he opened the innings in this game. Adds that he is thankful to the captain and coach for showing confidence in him. Feels that he knows what to do when his back is against the wall. Shares that he is happy to be in the finals. Also says that back-to-back games were good since their bowlers were already warmed up. Ends by saying that they did not bowl well but they had the batting to go over the line.
