Right then, that is all we have from this game. However, there is another blockbuster encounter coming up with Delhi Bulls taking on Deccan Gladiators. That game will start at 10 pm IST (4.30 pm GMT). So, just switch tabs and enjoy the coverage of that game. Cheers!
Moeen Ali, the skipper of Morrisville Samp Army says that they are playing well at the moment and they have a lot of match winners and energy has been good in the camp. Mentions that there might be some change here and there in future but they are mentally prepared. Feels that this is a format that is very fast-paced and one can learn a lot here.
Karim Janat is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH! He says that he wants to thank the coaching staff for keeping faith in him and promoting him up the order. Tells that there is pressure but one needs to perform when the chances are given. Adds that they have a good squad with big stars in both the batting and bowling department. Tells that in this format, one good over can change everything and says that he is happy with his performance.
Stay tuned for the Presentation..
In the first half, The Chennai Braves batters started well but could not get going in the middle overs and in the death. Malan was the star with the bat for them while Nortje and Pretorius were brilliant with the ball for Samp Army and then their batters pulled off a clinical chase to continue their winning run.
The Chennai Braves would be ruining the fact that they were not brave enough with the bat. Their bowlers had a tough task ahead of them as they were defending a pretty low total against a strong batting line-up. They did pick two wickets early but were poor with their catching and were completely outplayed in the end.
Morrisville Samp Army started the chase with a bang as Charles came out all guns blazing. However, Moeen Ali at the other end struggled and departed in the third over despite getting dropped at the start of that over. Charles also followed in the next over after a whirlwind knock but Janat and Miller build a smart partnership mixing caution with aggression. Janat was the aggressor and smashed 58 off just 28 balls as Morrisville Samp Army finished off the chase in style.
A comfortable victory for Morrisville Samp Army and they have now registered their third win in a row. A clinical performance again both with the bat and ball and they are surely looking like a team to beat this season. The Chennai Braves, on the other hand, tried hard with the ball but they were below-par with the bat and that eventually cost them this match.
