Right then, that caps off a fantastic Super Sunday in the WBBL and what a fantastic way to do so. A game that went down to the wire and then went into a Super Over to decide the winner. Just the perfect recipe for a fittingly entertainingly way to close play. 40 matches are done in the WBBL this season but the action continues on Tuesday, 17th November 2020.4 games are lined up for that day as well, with the first between Hobart Hurricanes Women and Adelaide Strikers Women. The action starts at 1030 PM GMT (0930 Local). Do tune-in then and until then, it is goodbye from our side.
Molly Strano is caught for a quick chat! Tells that she is really ecstatic because of the win. Says that she is proud of the girls. Mentions that it is a tough campaign for them so far. Tells that there have been a number of injuries on their side and it has been tough for them but is happy to win the game. Says that she is happy have beaten the arch-rivals.
Amy Satterthwaite is caught for a quick chat! On the win, the Renegades' skipper says that this is how they want to bat. Praises Webb and says that she showed a lot of character even though there were wickets going down at the other end. Praises Lee and mentions that she has been on the losing end during previous Super Overs and is happy for her. Ends by hoping that Lee keeps winning them the Super Overs.
Courtney Webb is named the Player of the Match for her fine half ton. Tells that she is overwhelmed by this win. Adds that Lee did well to take them to a good score in the Super Over. Praises Dooley for her innings. Says that it was one of those days where everything came off her bat nicely.
Earlier in the day, after winning the toss, Melbourne Renegades opted to bowl. They were loose at the start, tightened things in the middle but King took the honours with the bat in the end, to steer Stars to 165. Chasing 166, Renegades started well with their scoring rate being near 8 inside the Powerplay but they lost wickets. The scoring rate continued ticking slowly and picked up speed towards the end and just when it looked like Webb would steer them through, Stars pulled it back and the game went to a Super Over. But, a clinical performance there saw Renegades thump Stars and clinch a much-needed victory.
Melbourne Stars would consider themselves unlucky, real unlucky. They did well to control the flow of scoring towards the end by taking wickets and keeping tight lines and lengths. Managing to take it to the Super Over was not something they would have fancied but would not have minded it much. But then, they were blown away by a Lizelle storm when they bowled and their batters were not upto the task, requiring a huge 17 to win in the Super Over. Earlier, the Stars bowlers snared wickets inside the Powerplay but seemed to lose their plot afterwards. Runs leaked in the late middle and death overs but they managed to get a couple of key wickets in the end. After that, they managed to stem the flow of runs but could not keep the Renegades to under 7 in the last over, pushing it to a Super Over, where the Stars were overwhelmed by the Renegades.
Chasing 166 for a win, Renegades had a mixed start - they got off to a good start as far as the scoring rate was concerned but lost 3 wickets inside the Powerplay. After that, Dooley and Webb steading things well for Renegades. Dooley fell and Leeson followed a while later but Webb continued strongly. She received decent support from Yates towards the end, who struck a couple of blows to take the side closer. Webb later got to her first WBBL half ton. She was there throughout but some disciplined bowling from Stars meant Renegades could not see themselves through, managing a tie and getting the game to a Super Over, where they won and won it well.
What a cracking finish to the Melbourne derby! The team at the top of the table have been taken down by the team which is on the last spot of the points table. Renegades have won and that keeps them in the hunt in this season of the WBBL. They should have won it earlier but that does not take away the credit for their superlative performance in the Super Over.  Their dugout is very excited and they go to 6 points now, stemming the losing spree they were carrying earlier.

A single! Molineux and Renegades will have a sigh of relief. Low full toss outside off, du Preez can only drive it down to long off for a run. Melbourne Renegades Women win the Super Over by 4 runs.

SIX! CRACKING SIX! This game is not getting over anytime soon. Another biggie is what Stars need. Length ball around middle, du Preez slams it over long on for a biggie.
We are back for the Super Over chase. Meg Lanning and du Preez are the 2 batters out in the middle for the Stars. Sophie Molineux with the ball for Renegades. 17 to win...

Just a run! That was in the air but the fielder lost the ball in the sun. Full and around off, Lanning looks to slam it over the deep mid-wicket fielder but she fails to get the timing right. The fielder in the deep fails to sight the ball. The batters take just a single. Poor from them.

Just a single! Very full and around middle, du Preez can only flick it towards deep mid-wicket for one.

Excellent stop! Just a single! Shortish and around middle, Lanning pulls it towards short fine leg. The fielder there dives to her left and keeps it down to one.
Terrific score for Renegades in this 1-over shooter. Lee came all guns blazing and has given her side a decent cushion of runs. Sciver failed to get her lengths right in this over and it might well cost them game. But as they say, it's not over until its over. Stars have got the batters who can nail this total down in 6 balls. Will they be able to do so?
