GEORGIA PRESTWIDGE IS GIVEN THE PLAYER OF THE MATCH AWARD! So, that is it from this game. The last of the league stage. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. Don't go anywhere and just switch tabs to see Sydney Sixers fighting it out to get a win and end the tournament on a high. That game is headed for a close finish. Till then cheers and take care!
Earlier after being put into bat, Brisbane Heat managed to get to 114 in 17 overs in a rain marred innings. Contribution from Amelia Kerr who was the highest scorer with the bat in the match and Georgia Voll saw them post a total which turned out to be a match winning one in the end. The Renegades bowling was brilliant as apart from Molly Strano all the other bowlers ended up picking wickets. But their batters let them down and that cost them the game.
Coming to the bowling from Brisbane Heat, then it can be seen from their bowling card as all the bowlers apart from Grace Harris and Nadine de Klerk found themselves into the wickets column. The stand out performer for them was for sure Georgia Prestwidge who with her sharp and pacy deliveries picked up a 4-fer. Skipper, Jess Jonassen and Amelia Kerr had a couple of wickets each to their name. Also, Delissa Kimmince and Courtney Sippel snared a wicket each too. All in all it was a complete bowling performance from them as they steamrolled Melbourne Renegades.
Chasing a target of 115 in 17 overs Melbourne Renegades Women got off to a worst start as they lost Lizelle Lee on the first ball of the chase. From then on the procession continued and by the time the 10th over came they had their six batters back into the hut. Looking at the scorecard it seems like none of the batters looked to play a settled innings as they came and went in a hurry. Some fell to good bowling and some to poor shots. In the end Renegades found themselves on the losing side and end their tournament on a sorry note.
Brisbane Heat get their 7th win on the trot and they are on fire here. They will play Sydney Thunder in the second semi-final. A comprehensive victory for them.

OUT! CAUGHT! Prestwidge gets her 4th wicket! Full toss on middle, Tahuhu lofts it over mid-wicket but does not get the timing on it. It goes towards the fielder where Delissa Kimmince takes a simple catch. BRISBANE HEAT WIN BY 43 RUNS!
