Tells that Zaman Khan has been impressive with the ball and hopes that he soon makes his debut for Pakistan. Says that Rashin Khan is the best bowler, everyone knows that and his services will be missed.
Asif Ali, the skipper of Islamabad United, says that they started well with the ball but Lahore's batters took the game away from them. Tells that they had a lot of injuries so they were forced to change their batting order. Mentions that they are hopeful of winning the next game.
Harry Brook is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his scintillating century. He says that it was fun to be out there and post a good score for the team. Mentions that he wants to be a match-winner and is happy that he got the team out of the pressure situation and contribute. Reckons that this is the best knock he has ever played.
Stay tuned for the presentation.
Rashid Khan is up for a chat. He says that Lahore Qalandars is like a family to him and is happy to be a part of the team. He wishes them all the best for the rest of the competition. Tells that he is happy to play the role the team has given to him. Adds that he feels blessed to be in this team. Informs that they had a bad game against Karachi but it was all about showing character and playing positive cricket in this game.
Lahore Qalandars' bowlers pulled things back really nicely after the first couple of overs and once again, it was their skipper, Shaheen Afridi who led from the front and he grabbed two wickets off consecutive deliveries and sent the opposition on the back foot. The other bowlers followed him and they stuck to their task as well. The spinners got into the act and the magician, Rashid Khan snared a couple of wickets by giving away just 18 runs from his 4 overs. Zaman Khan and Haris Rauf also picked up a couple of wickets each and they have ensured that they win by a huge margin of 66 runs, which will do their net run rate a world of good.
Islamabad United needed to get off to a strong start with the bat and it was provided by Rahmanullah Gurbaz but he failed to capitalize on it and threw away his wicket in the third over. Once he got out, Islamabad's innings completely fell apart and they never really got going. Dawson did hung in there but he wasn't allowed to score freely. Same was the case with Danish Aziz who got in but couldn't free his arms at will. In the end, it was a disappointing batting peformance from Islamabad to say the least.
A comprehensive victory for Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United have been completely outplayed in this game. Apart from the first four overs with the ball, nothing has gone United's way in this game. The Qalandars have been impressive as ever with the ball and they have registered their sixth win of the tournament.
