Man of the Match
Scott Boland
Commentry
So, Boland has been given the MAN OF THE MATCH for his excellent bowling performance. Also, that is it from this game! Cricketing action though does not end as there is another game going on between the Heat and the Sixers. You can catch all the action by switching tabs. Till then, take care and goodbye!
Earlier in the day, on the back of a superb inning from Malan, Hobart got to a very good total. It seemed that his knock will be overshadowed by the effort of Maxwell but a strong comeback by the Hobart bowlers has taken their side over the line.
Apart from the Maxwell-Pooran stand, the Hobart bowling was spot on. The best part is, they always believed even when Maxwell was taking the game away from them and in the end that belief got them over the line. Everyone except for Meredith and Short had a wicket at least! Boland was the pick of the bowlers and Botha and Sandeep did a really good job too.
Chasing the total, the Stars were off to a horrendous start as they lost three wickets quickly. Maxwell and Pooran then played sensibly and added 72. The left-hander was happy to play second foil whereas the skipper was in his attacking mode. He got to his half ton and his innings got the Stars well on top of the game. However, once Pooran fell, the procession started. Maxwell and Dunk soon followed and with no recognized batter, it was always going to be tough to score at more than 8 per over.
A comfortable win for Hobart in the end but at one stage, they looked well behind the 8-ball game when Maxwell and Pooran were batting! However, two wickets in two overs of those two changed the course of the game completely and in the end, it was the hosts who came out on top.

A single now! Full and wide outside off, Stanlake drives it uppishly. It is to the right of the man at mid off who does well to stop it inside the ring. A single.

Cramps him for room does Meredith this time as he bowls it around middle and leg. Stanlake can only block it.
