Imrul Kayes, the skipper of Comilla Victorians, says that it was a thriller and didn't expect the game to go till the end. Mentions that they started well but made mistakes in the middle. Tells that Moeen Ali and Abu Hider finished well and they had a decent total on the board. Tells that their bowling was excellent in the middle overs. Adds that in the finals, one needs to be always brave and says that Narine and Faf help him a lot in setting the field. Credits Narine for bowling well.

Shakib Al Hasan, the skipper of Fortune Barishal is the PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT. He says that it was a very good game of cricket and both teams made lot of mistakes and credit should be given to Comilla Victorians, they held their nerves. He applauds Shykat Ali for his batting but says that he is disappointed to lose the game. He mentions that the bowlers have done well throughout the tournament and again today they have stepped up. He says that personally it has been a good tournament for him but says he would have loved to win the trophy rather than Player of the tournament award.

Sunil Narine is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his all-round performance. He says that it was the most important match and credits his team for the performance. Tells that the wicket helped him a bit and was well supported by others as well. Mentions that they are happy to win the final but says that cricket is the real winner. Tells that he hopes to come back again for the next tournament.

Comilla Victorians! What can you say about their performance today. They were poor in some parts of this game but were absolutely brilliant when it mattered the most. Sunil Narine, what a player he is! He provided the early impetus and that ensured that Comilla reach 150 despite poor performance by other batters. Then, it was his turn to work his magic with the ball as he got the set Gayle out when, things were looking quite bleak for Comilla. That opened the floodgates and Narine came back again to take his Windies mate Bravo out of the equation and that created panic in the Fortune Barishal’ dressing room. There was another man who delivered game-changing blows it was Tanvir Islam who got Shykat Ali when he was taking the game away and then got the big fish, the calming influence Shakib Al Hasan to bring his team back into the hunt. Mustafizur Rahman and Shohidul Islam delivered brilliant two overs in the end and that took them over the line by the barest of margins!

Fortune Barishal’s batting has not exactly fired a lot in this season compared to their strong bowling performances throughout this season. So the pressure was there at the start and with first wicket down in no time, they would have been some nerves in the dressing room. However, Shykat Ali came out all guns blazing and took the pressure away if there was any. His quickfire fifty ensured that Gayle was allowed to take his time and once Ali departed, Gayle decided to take matters into his hands and hit few lusty blows. However, he soon departed and the wicket of Shakib created some jitters. However they were still in a comfortable position but the pressure of final got to them when Nurul Hasan departed and eventually they crumbled to lose the game that was in their bag just a couple of overs back.

COMILLA VICTORIANS ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF THE BANGLADESH PREMIER LEAGUE 2022! What a cracker of a game this was! Absolute Ciffhanger as Comilla win this by the barest of margin! Agony and ecstasy of the highest order! The momentum swung from one team to another throughout the game but it is Comilla Victorians who have held their nerves and have come out on top in this thriller of a game. They were surely down and out with five overs to go but the pressure of the final can do funny things and Comilla have done an impossible here. Fortune Barishal have played some brilliant cricket throughout the season and it was a matter of being so close yet so far for them. However, they should keep their heads high and have been worthy finalist of this entertaining season of BPL 2022.

Dropped! Can you believe it? A good length ball, on middle. Towhid Hridoy goes for the big slog leg side but ends up launching it into orbit. The ball goes around the square leg fence and the fielder over there settles under it well. He ends up spilling the catch somehow and they get another couple. 3 needed now off the final delivery. Is there a Super Over on the cards? In the final? Surely not, right?

Brilliant running! Full and straight, this is driven down towards long on for a couple. Excellent hustle from the batters and Fortune Barishal are now one hit away.

WIDE! More drama! Shohidul Islam spills the slower delivery down the leg side. Hridoy looks to pull it behind but misses. The umpire signals a wide but they have reviewed it. The third umpire checks the replay and deems that it is close to the bat. There's no clear deviation though and he checks the audio as well. There seems to be a noise as the ball passes the bat but it's not enough to overturn the onfield decision. This is a big decision and the third umpire wants to make sure that he gets it right. The camera angle from behind the stumps shows that it is really close but there's no conclusive evidence and Hridoy survives! 7 needed now off 3.

Full and wide, Mujeeb Ur Rahman makes room and drives it towards deep cover for a single.
