Imrul Kayes, the skipper of Comilla Victorians, says that winning is always a great feeling and he is very happy with his team's performance. Adds that Nahidul Islam bowled well in the previous game as well, and says that he stuck to his plan and made sure he bowled in the Powerplay as well as the middle overs. On Mahmudul Hasan Joy, he says that he is a very good player for Bangladesh cricket and he looks very positive. On Karim Janat, he says that he is happy for him and he is a power-hitter for them. About the catch of Faf Du Plessis, he says that Faf du Plessis is a very good fielder, and that was an incredible catch, and he has done that so many times before.
Nahidul Islam is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his sensational spell! His figures of 4-1-5-3 were sensational and he will be very proud of his show.
Shakib Al Hasan, the skipper of Fortune Barishal, says that Comilla Victorians did put up a fighting total, but they thought with dew and on this wicket, they could chase it down. Mentions that they needed runs in the Powerplay, which has been an area of concern for them. He also credits Nahidul Islam by saying that he bowled in the right areas. Concludes by saying that this is just the start and they have to come back stronger.

Nurul Hasan did get a few boundaries and tried to rescue the innings but since Shanto was struggling at the other end, his partners were forced to take a lot of risks and that cost them their wickets. Nothing went their way and they would be very disappointed to not chase it despite a solid batting lineup. Comilla Victorians though will be extremely delighted with their show and this win takes them to the top of the table!
It started in the first over itself. Nahidul Islam bowled a wicket maiden and set the tone for their defence. The procession started and Fortune Barishal lost 4 wickets within the first 10 overs. Nahidul Islam was sensational with the ball and his figures of 4-1-5-3 had Fortune Barishal on the mat. Najmul Hossain Shanto stayed in the middle for a long, long time but his performance was below par and he failed to get the momentum for his side.
What a win for Comilla Victorians! They did not have the biggest of totals but boy, they bowled brilliantly to defend it. A fantastic performance and a win by 63 runs is a big win in T20s!
