Liam Livingstone, the skipper of Team Abu Dhabi, says that they were pretty much behind the game while batting but Jamie Overton and Danny Briggs did the job for them in the end. Adds that the bowling attack did brilliantly in this game and credits them. Says that they felt it was a six on the last ball and were quite impatient while looking at the replays.
Jamie Overton is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH! He says that he tried to take the game deep. Adds that they have a long batting lineup so they back themselves to chase any total.
But, Jamie Overton had different plans and he kept Team Abu Dhabi in the hunt. He got boundaries on regular intervals and made sure that the game was not dead. Things went to the last ball, Hamid Hassan got injured, Anwar Ali came to bowl, Jamie Overton was not on strike and Andre Russell put on a brilliant effort on the field. After all this, the last ball was called a six and Team Abu Dhabi won it!
Given the mighty batting lineup of Team Abu Dhabi, they should have chased it with ease. They did lose a couple of early wickets but Liam Livingstone and Colin Ingram did hit a few big blows to keep them in control. Then came the bowling of Wanindu Hasaranga. The leggie took 2 wickets each in his two overs and turned the game on its head. It looked like Deccan Gladiators would get over the line after that.
Wow, let me check my heartbeat first! What a match that was and it had us on the edge of the seats! Team Abu Dhabi should have won this with ease but Deccan Gladiators fought back hard. It went down to the last ball and despite a brilliant effort by Andre Russell, Team Abu Dhabi got over the line!

SIX! What a finish to the game! Length ball, on the pads. Briggs goes for the heave but gets the top edge. The ball goes high in the air towards fine leg. It looks like it is going to cross the ropes but Andre Russell is there. He leaps up and pushes the ball in. But the umpires want to check if he was in touch with the ropes while he was in contact with the ball. The replays roll in. Andre Russell had stepped on the ropes but he did leap up while he was in contact with the ball. The only question is whether his foot was off the ropes before the ball hit his hands. The TV umpire calls it a six and Team Abu Dhabi win by 4 wickets!
What has happened there? They are checking if it is a six. Looks like Andre Russell touched the boundary ropes while he was in contact with the ball. But it is very close. SIX it is!
A reminder that there is no Super Over in the league stage. So, Team Abu Dhabi need a maximum to win this. Also, it looks like Hamid Hassan is struggling with his left leg. Anwar Ali will bowl the last ball by the looks of it.

Two more! Full ball, on the pads. Overton drills it to wide long on. They sprint back for the second and make it with ease as the throw from Wanindu Hasaranga is a wild one and Moores cannot gather it.
