GRACE HARRIS IS THE PLAYER OF THE MATCH! That's it from this encounter then! Brisbane Heat were good with the bat and the ball and have won their fourth game on the trot. While the story for the Sixers is quite the opposite as they have lost their fifth game in a row and will be looking to make amends in their next encounter. Don't go anywhere as there is another game coming up on Tuesday! Game 44 sees Sydney Thunder Women lock horns against Melbourne Renegades Women. That game starts at 1905 local (0805 GMT). We hope to have your company for the game. Until then, cheers.
Earlier in the day, the Sixers started off with the bat. After a good start for them courtesy of Healy, Brisbane Heat did well to come back into the game. Dane Van Niekerk contributed some much-needed runs in the end. Harris and Hancock were handy with the ball as they both added 2 wickets to their name for the Heat. In the end, the total was not the biggest to trouble the batters of Heat and they did well to add two more points to their kitty.
There's not a lot to talk about in regard to the bowling by the Sixers. It was not the biggest total to defend and you cannot blame the bowlers. They started off well though as they scalped two wickets inside the first six overs. It was then, where the partnership of Jonassen and Voll took the game away from them and they were not able to come back into the game after that. They did get 3 quick wickets towards the end but with only a handful of runs needed, it did not matter.
Chasing a total of 123, Brisbane Heat were always going to be the favourites. They stumbled a bit as they lost 2 wickets in the Powerplay. But it was the partnership of Jess Jonassen and Georgia Voll which steadied the ship and those two played some good attacking strokes to keep the scoreboard ticking. Maddy Green and Laura Harris also added some valuable runs towards the end to see Brisbane Heat win their fourth game on the trot.
A very comprehensive performance by Brisbane Heat makes sure that there is no twist in the store for us as they win this encounter by 3 wickets. They stumbled towards the end of the innings as they lost quick wickets but with the total in close sight, they have done well to wrap this game up.

OUT! RUN OUT! What are Brisbane Heat doing? They need just 4 more and have plenty of balls remaining but are just throwing their wickets away. This was completely unnecessary. Flighted on off, Knott drives it to cover and takes off for a single. The fielder has a shy at the keeper's end and hits. Kerr is out of her crease and she has to go.

OUT! CAUGHT! Is there a little twist? Maddy Green wants to finish it quickly and in doing so, she perishes. Poor batting. Flighted ball on middle, Green looks to go over long on but it goes straight to Erin Burns who makes no mistake. 8 needed.
