James Bazley is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH. He says that it's a nice feeling to get a win and get their campaign underway. Mentions that the conditions were nice to play in and they executed their plans very well.
The Renegades were really good with the ball in the middle overs and that gave them a sniff. Had their bowlers bowled well at the start, the story could well have been different. Also, had their skipper, taken the catch of Bazely, this could have gone down to the wire. Overall though, they were quite under par, first with the bat and then with the ball and in the field.
So, the Heat have opened their account for the campaign. It was probably not as comfortable as we thought it would be at one stage but it was quite comprehensive in the end. Their openers got them off to a flier, especially Lynn. Once he got out though, Heat lost wickets at regular intervals. They have given away games from a winning position but not this time. Heazlett kept his calm and played with a lot of responsibility and along with James Bazely, they took their side over the line.
