In a poignant tweet on his official social media account, Gautam Gambhir announced his resignation as the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise’s mentor, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
LSG hired the two-time IPL champion captain in 2022 to serve as the group’s mentor. Following two respectable seasons in the position, Gautam Gambhir expressed gratitude to Sanjiv Goenka, the team owner, for his “inspiring leadership” and for having supported him during his tenure with the team. LSG qualified for the Playoffs in seasons 2022 and 2023 while Gambhir was in charge.
“I am bursting with love and a great deal of appreciation towards all the players, coaches, support staff, and everyone who has contributed to making this journey unforgettable as I announce the conclusion of my flawless voyage with Lucknow Super Giants. I express my gratitude to Dr. Sanjiv Goenka for his outstanding guidance during the establishment of this amazing franchise and for his unwavering support of all my endeavors. I have no doubt that the group will succeed in the future and bring pride to all LSG supporters. “Best wishes, LSG Brigade!” Using his official ‘X’ handle, Gambhir wrote.
